Ascent to Świnica (High Tatras)

Description

Hiking tour from Kuźnice (1011 meters AMSL) to Świnica (2301 meters AMSL) via Schronisko Murowaniec (1500 meters AMSL) and Zawrat (2159 meters AMSL).

Świnica is a mountain straddling the border between Poland and Slovakia in the High Tatras mountain range.

Descent to Kasprowy Wierch (1987 meters AMSL), and using the cableway back down to Kuźnice.

Notes and recommendations

Thunderstorms can be very dangerous and possibly deadly because of the many chains and other metal supports leading and close to the peak.

I would recommend wearing a helmet during the ascent to Zawrat.

The red marked trail from Zawrat to Świnica is one-way, so it should be avoided turning back on this section of the trail.
