Traversing Bystrá lávka (High Tatras)

Description

Hiking tours from Štrbské Pleso (1350 meters AMSL) to Bystrá lávka (2300 meters), and back to Štrbské Pleso by crossing Furkotská dolina.

Bystrá lávka is a mountain saddle in the Slovak part of the High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry) mountain range.

Notes and recommendations

I recommened wearing crampons or spikes on your boots when there is snow on the trail, what is not an unlikely occurrence in spring or in autumn (as you can see on the 2022 pictures).

A helmet could be advisable for the last few meters to the mountain saddle when there are people above you (loose rock may come down), otherwise it is not really necessary.
